The value for money at Dimora Altemura was really good, and the room was fantastic with a lovely balcony. The hotel's location was ideal, just a short walk from the train station and right across from the walled city. The staff, especially Caterina, were helpful and friendly.
The hotel breakfast menu could have been improved by offering a wider variety of coffee options, maybe including some with sugar.

I recently stayed at Dimora Altemura for a few days and it was a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and informative, allowing us to check in when we wanted. The hotel's proximity to the train station was a huge advantage, making it easy to navigate the area. While there was no traditional breakfast, the inclusion of snacks in the room was a nice touch. The patio, complete with plants and a cozy atmosphere, was a lovely spot to relax.
I highly recommend this hotel.

The guest rooms at Dimora Altemura are amazing! The room we stayed in had a cozy and comfortable feel with a flat-screen TV and air conditioning to keep us entertained and cool. The private bathroom was clean and equipped with a shower and free toiletries, giving us a refreshing experience. The tile/marble floor added a touch of elegance, and the balcony provided a great spot to relax. We loved having a microwave in our room, making it convenient for heating up snacks. The desk in the room was useful, and the bed linen was clean and comfortable.
Personally, I would have preferred a room with a minibar as it would have been convenient to have drinks and snacks readily available.

The nearest airport was a lovely distance away, just enough time to relax and reflect on my luxurious stay at Dimora Altemura. The towels were provided, thank goodness, because I simply cannot travel without a fluffy towel to dry my delicate skin.
Oh, how I dreaded the city views from my room. How mundane it was to gaze upon the charming architecture of the city every day.

Noisy due to main road nearby.

I had a fantastic stay at Dimora Altemura in Lucca! The host was amazing and provided excellent communication throughout my visit. The check-in and check-out process was easy, and the host even gave me a map with recommendations for local squares and sightseeing. The location of the hotel is fantastic, just a 3-minute walk from the train station and 10 minutes from the center of Lucca. I also appreciated the discount available for various restaurants. The cleanliness of the hotel was really good, and I loved the snack boxes available in my room after a long day of exploring. The highlight for me was the gorgeous terrace out the back, a perfect little sun trap.
One minor drawback was that the house was located right on the city wall, outside of it, which initially seemed nice. the main road was also right by the house and could be a bit noisy.
